Payments and gifts
Card details never touch TalksThat — checkout is handled by our payment processor. We store the transaction record (amount, fee, status, processor reference) needed for your balance, receipts, refunds and tax obligations. Payout verification data (identity documents, bank details) is collected and held by the processor, not by us.
Room chat retention
Room chat and broadcast recordings are deleted automatically on the retention window each room owner sets. Moderation records of removed content may be kept longer where we need them for safety and appeals.
What we collect
Account details (email, username, display name), content you publish (videos, thumbnails, comments, listings), interaction data (likes, saves, follows, views), messages you send, and technical data such as device and session information needed to keep your account secure.
How we use it
To operate the feed and recommendations, deliver notifications and messages, run the marketplace, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations. We do not sell your personal data.
Storage and security
Media is stored in private buckets with per-user access paths. Database access is protected with row-level security so people can only read and write records they are entitled to.
Your controls
You can edit or delete your videos and comments, block accounts, report content, make your profile content private, and request deletion of your account and associated data.
Third-party processors
Video transcoding, live streaming and payment providers are integration points in this build. When configured, only the minimum data needed for those functions is shared with them.
