Who we are

TalksThat (talksthat.com and the TalksThat apps) is a video, live streaming and creator marketplace platform. This policy explains what information we collect and how we use it. Questions: support@talksthat.com.

Information you give us

Account details (email, username, display name, profile photo), content you post (videos, images, captions, comments, live broadcasts, messages, listings), shipping details for marketplace orders, and messages you send to support.

Information collected automatically

Interactions (views, likes, follows, saves, gifts), device and app information, approximate location derived from IP address, and logs needed for security, fraud prevention and reliability. We do not use third-party tracking to follow you across other companies' apps and websites.

Camera, microphone and photos

We access your camera, microphone and photo library only when you choose to record, go live, or upload, and only after you grant permission. You can revoke permission at any time in your device settings.

Face data and AR effects

Face masks and effects analyse your face on your device — using Apple's ARKit and TrueDepth camera on supported iPhones, or on-device face landmarks on the web — solely to place and animate the effect in real time. Face data is not sent to our servers, is not stored, is not used for identification, advertising or profiling, and is not shared with any third party. A published video contains only the finished picture and the effect's name.

Payments

Purchases in the iPhone app are processed by Apple; we receive a purchase confirmation, not your payment card. Website and marketplace payments are processed by Stripe, and creator payout verification (identity and bank details) is collected and held by Stripe. We keep transaction records (amount, status, reference) for balances, receipts, refunds and tax.

How we use information

To run your account, show and recommend content, deliver messages and notifications, process purchases, gifts and orders, provide AI creation tools you request, keep the community safe through moderation, prevent fraud, and meet legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information.

Sharing

Content you post publicly is visible to others. We share the minimum necessary information with service providers that run the service for us — hosting and database, video and live streaming, payment processing (Apple, Stripe), order fulfilment and shipping, AI processing for tools you use, and email. We may disclose information when required by law or to protect people's safety.

Security and retention

Data is encrypted in transit, private media is kept in access-controlled storage, and database rules restrict each person to records they are allowed to see. We keep information while your account is active; live room chat and recordings follow the retention period the room owner sets. Payment and safety records may be kept longer where the law requires.

Your choices and rights

You can edit or delete your content, make content private, block accounts, change permissions, and permanently delete your account in Settings → Delete account. Depending on where you live, you may also request access to, correction of, or a copy of your data by emailing support@talksthat.com.

Children

TalksThat is not intended for children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). We remove accounts we learn belong to underage users.

Changes

We will post updates on this page and notify you in the app of material changes.
